We've decided in our group that a good way of getting some ideas of a narrative for our thriller would be to each make a list of our fears, so here's some of mine:
Fear of heights
Fear of pain
Fear of needles
Fear of ventriloquist's dummies
Fear of confined spaces
Fear of creepy, crawly things
Fear of being bound or tied up
Fear of being buried alive
We did work out in our group that sometimes things your scared of (like spiders for instance) don't neccesarily scare you on screen as well, so I've highlighted in red the ones that would scare me on screen as well. Enjoy.

Hey, if you don't like the though nof being buried alive...even on film. Then you don't want to watch a certain episode of Lost where two people get that done to them...by accident!!

Yuck. Buried alive. I didn't even know I had that fear until I read your blog! Be careful to make your opening clearly from the thriller genre and not horror...
Good to see some ideas coming through you guys. You now need to develop them into a managable production; including detailed storyboards and shot lists. Start thinking about booking shooting dates too!
